Behind The Scenes Of Bowmore / Aston Martin's Whisky Collaboration: Event Video Shoot In Edinburgh

Do you ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes of a high-end whisky collaboration? Well, here's your chance to find out! Join us as we take you behind the scenes of Bowmore and Aston Martin's Whisky Collaboration, a video shoot we were invited to cover in Edinburgh. We'll show you how the event unfolded and all the stunning visuals that came with it.

About the Bowmore + Aston Martin Collaboration

Bowmore, the Islay single malt whisky distillery, and Aston Martin, the British luxury car manufacturer, have teamed up to create a unique collaboration as part of their 'Masters Selection Series'

The partnership between these two iconic brands was born out of a shared passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail, 'understated excellence' as Edrington Whisky Specialist David Miles puts it. The result is a truly exceptional spirit that captures the essence of both brands.

Only 12,000 bottles of this special whisky have been produced, making it a true collector's item. The bottles are presented in bespoke packaging that features elements from both brands, including Aston Martin's famous grille badge.

This rare and exceptional whisky is sure to be enjoyed by enthusiasts of both Bowmore and Aston Martin alike. We hope you enjoy our video from the event at Bonnie & Wild in Edinburgh!

The Video Shoot Location

The event was hosted in the private event space at Bonnie & Wild, situated in the St James Quarter, Edinburgh. The perfect space that really captures the essence of both brands and a true celebration of Scottish produce.

The event space layout is perfect with 3 different sections in the same area. This allows for a varying aesthetic along with the practicality of space which enables us to take a step back and shoot candidly, capturing things naturally.

Capturing The Moment

We arrived at Bonnie & Wild in Edinburgh, where we were welcomed by Kate and the team along with the team at Edrington. We watched as they worked tirelessly to create the perfect event space and make sure everything was in place for the evening, including the limited supply of bottles available at the bottle shop for purchase on the night.

After covering the initial launch for the first edition in 2021, we had a good idea of what we were looking to capture. A varied selection of amazing footage that captured the evening as it was. The celebration of whisky, the coming together of people, the joy of the partnership as well as the quality and luxury of both brands.

Interviews With Key Figures

On the night we grabbed a few words with key figures from Bowmore to get the inside scoop on this unique whisky collaboration. Watch the video to hear from Ron Welsh, Master Distiller of Bowmore and David Miles, whisky specialist at Edrington, about how this one-of-a-kind spirit came to be.

What We Learned

We learned a lot during our video shoot at Bonnie & Wild in Edinburgh. For starters, we got to see first-hand how Bowmore and Aston Martin's whisky collaboration came to life. We also got to meet the people behind the scenes who make this happen - from the distillers to the marketing team. And of course, we can't forget about the amazing food and cocktails on offer at Bonnie & Wild. All in all, it was a great experience and we're excited to share it with you all!

Thanks for having us!

This was an amazing event to be film and be part of and to be invited back after the initial launch event in 2021 was even more special. Getting a glimpse into how this collaboration came about and to witness people coming together to enjoy it on the night was just fantastic. Ron Welsh, the master distiller from Bowmore couldn't have been nicer. He gave us a brilliant interview for edition one and was kind enough to speak to us again on the night for edition 2. His expertise and passion really come across. We think we captured the essence of the evening well and hope you enjoy the results!
